S1 Course Description

Performing

Pupils will focus on Keyboard and Tuned Percussion during S1, but will also touch on Guitar and Drums towards the end of the year.

Composition

In S1, pupils will undertake basic composition exercises and get the opportunity to compose a short piece of music in the style of a 12 bar blues.

Instruments of the Orchestra
  • Intro to the orchestra-pupils research instruments etc in pairs using computers and answer questions as they work through the unit
